🔄 Mandatory 14-Day Sanitary Downtime Stages (ASEAN Standard)

Between flock depopulation and next chick placement, a strict minimum 14-day fallow period is enforced.

Days 1-2

Total Litter Evacuation & Deep Caked Bedding Removal

Evacuate all spent litter, take outside perimeter in covered trucks, scrape concrete slab.

Days 3-4

Dry Cleaning, Ceiling & Fan Dust Blowdown

Air-compressor / leaf blower cleaning of trusses, curtains, fans, wire mesh, and feed pans.

Days 5-6

High-Alkaline Foaming Detergent Application

Apply active degreaser foam across walls, ceilings, slats, and cooling pads to dissolve bio-films.

Days 7-8

High-Pressure Hot/Cold Water Rinse (2500 PSI)

Flush all chemical residues, clean drains, descale cooling pad reservoir and water pipes.

Days 9-10

Broad-Spectrum Disinfectant Spray & Misting

Apply Glutaraldehyde + QAC or Potassium Peroxymonosulfate (Virkon-S) at 1:100 concentration.

Days 11-12

Thermal Fogging / Fumigation & 24h House Sealing

Thermal fog with formaldehyde or dry fogging biocide; seal curtains and doors for minimum 24 hours.

Day 13

Fresh Rice Hull Bedding & Equipment Reassembly

Spread 8-10 cm kiln-dried rice hulls / wood shavings; lower feed lines and sanitize drinker cups.

Day 14

Brooder Pre-Heating (33°C), Static Pressure & Water Test

Pre-heat 24h before chick arrival, test backup generator, check chlorination (3 ppm).

Virkon-S (Potassium Peroxymonosulfate)

1:100 (10g / L), replace when pink color turns clear or pH > 3.0

Glutaraldehyde + QAC (Omnicide/TH4+)

1:200 dilution, replace every 48 hours

Sodium Hypochlorite (Commercial Bleach 5%)

1:10 dilution, replace daily due to rapid organic matter breakdown

Mandatory Rule: Replace footbath solution every 24 hours or immediately when visible organic matter accumulation is detected.
